If your business depends on having a fleet of vehicles so that your employees can get to where they are going and do their work, you want to be sure that those vehicles are in good shape all the time. If your business fleet is only one or two vehicles, then you have no problem with keeping track of which vehicle got what kind of maintenance and when. Once you have all your vehicles loaded into the software as well as what kind of preventative maintenance it had and when, the program that you buy will be able to give you a reminder as to what vehicle you need to have worked on, and when it should be worked on. That will make sure that you aren't going to end up missing necessary preventative maintenance on your vehicle.
Scheduling
No matter how many vehicles you have in your business fleet, you don't want to have a significant number of them down for any kind of maintenance all at the same time. With a management program, you can set up a rotating schedule as to when the different vehicles get different maintenance. For example, you may schedule vehicle 1 for an oil change for one day, which would pull it out of the rotation for that day. Then the next day, you would have vehicle 2 scheduled for a tire rotation, balance, and alignment. Vehicle 1 is going to be back out on the road while vehicle 2 is getting worked on. That way there is at least part of your fleet that is out on the road getting work done while another part is getting worked on so that it will be able to stay out on the road.
